Each workshop will include a combination of focused learning facilitated by Transformunity and B&M partners, and group discussion to ask questions and address real-life challenges.

Four-Part Series

The Strategic Planning for Busy Leaders Course is a series of four 2-hour workshops. Participants can choose to attend all four workshops or only individual workshops. Those who complete all four modules in the course will receive a certificate of completion. All sessions offered in English and French.

Course Curriculum

Workshop #1: The Foundations of Strategic Planning
Wednesday 7 April | 15:00-17:00 WAST
What is a strategy, and why are businesses with a strategy so much more likely to succeed? This workshop will cover the basics of strategy and strategic planning, and show leaders where and how to begin the process. 

Workshop #2: Setting Strategic Goals
Wednesday 14 April | 15:00-17:00 WAST
Without clear goals, it's impossible to know where to steer your business or organization. What is your long-term goal? What strategies will help you achieve that goal? We'll cover strategic goal-setting and how to prioritize your various objectives. 

Workshop #3: Stakeholder Engagement
Wednesday 21 April | 15:00-17:00 WAST
For a strategy to succeed, leaders need buy-in from their stakeholders. This workshop will discuss how to identify your stakeholders, how to prioritize your stakeholders, and concrete strategies for trouble-shooting stakeholder management. 

Workshop #4: Successful Strategy Implementation
Wednesday 28 April | 15:00-17:00 WAST
Once a strategic plan is complete, the work has only just begun. For a strategy to be successful, a leader needs to plan for its implementation as well as its development. This workshop will cover tactics and tools to successfully implement your strategy, measure progress and how to know when to pivot.
