ARREY OBENSON
INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZE LEADER
IN ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGY,
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT, AND CIVIL SOCIETY,
ACCOMPLISHED LAWYER, AUTHOR AND HUMANITARIAN.
Arrey Obenson is a globally celebrated nonprofit executive, humanitarian, systems transformer, business strategy consultant and author of Bridging the Opportunity Gap.
His acclaimed book encapsulates his core philosophy: genuine growth happens when organizations harness their opportunities rather than focus on their challenges—a principle that drives his entire strategic approach.
For over two decades, Arrey has mobilized people and organizations worldwide, driving lasting change through bold strategy development, visionary leadership, and a hands-on approach to international advocacy, philanthropy, and community transformation.
As the former Secretary General of Junior Chamber International (JCI), Arrey led one of the world’s largest youth leadership networks, shaping strategy and forging partnerships with the United Nations, Fortune 500 companies, and grassroots movements across 124 countries. Under his stewardship, JCI became an early champion of the UN Sustainable Development Goals, embedding them in the work of over 1,000 communities worldwide.
Later, as President & CEO of the International Institute of St. Louis, Arrey transformed a regional agency into a national model for immigrant integration and economic vitality—tripling its budget, spearheading innovative programs, and launching high-impact initiatives that garnered global media attention.
Today, as CEO and Partner at Transformunity, Arrey consults with organizations and corporations to develop and implement strategies that drive meaningful, systemic impact. His work spans strategic planning, organizational transformation, and executive coaching—helping clients harness their opportunities and become catalysts for change. He brings a rare blend of eloquence, lived experience, and actionable insight on leadership, civic engagement, migration, and social entrepreneurship.
A sought-after keynote speaker and facilitator, Arrey has addressed audiences in over 100 countries, including the 37th International Small Business Congress in South Africa, AIESEC World Congresses in Calgary and Hammamet, the Global Business Expo in Dubai, the Welcoming America Conference in Dallas, the UN Foundation’s Nothing But Nets, and the SHRM St. Louis Annual Conference.

His presentations spark inspiration and galvanize action, equipping audiences to drive transformation from boardrooms to grassroots communities.
Arrey is also the founder of I Am Cameroon, the organization behind one of the largest civic initiatives in Cameroon’s history—mobilizing over 2 million people to remove more than 200 tons of plastic from rivers and oceans. During the pandemic, he led efforts to deliver nearly $250,000 worth of hand sanitizer and PPE to communities across Cameroon, saving thousands of lives.
